Rehabilitation services at Artman are covered by Medicare, Blue Cross and some HMO plans. Upon discharge from the hospital, most insurance carriers will initially certify a five-day stay for the patient at a skilled nursing facility, covering skilled therapies and room and board. As rehabilitation progresses, most insurance carriers will re-certify therapy stays in five-day increments.

Therapy is available at least five days a week; assessments, evaluations and consults are available seven days a week. Standard insurance policies typically cover one hour of therapy per day. Please check with your individual provider to determine your coverage for acute-care settings like hospitals and long-term care settings such as Artman.
